    GREAT JOB

    Hey SHARKS,
Way to go at the City Swim Meet. The Sharks placed 3rd in the
  • team competition
  • You should all be very proud of your efforts.

How about that end of the season pool party!!! I think everyone had a blast zooming down the slides head first at the Kershaw YMCA. I imagine many of the daddy's were having a hard time waking up on Monday!

It was a wonderful swim season, and as I mentioned at the party it was a pleasure to coach your children. We had such a fun year and all the kids gave great effort.

I will be emailing the enitre team soon to set up a trip to Auburn to see a few swim meets this year. Congratulations SHARKS!!!

    TEAM Pictures

Quick reminder: We will have TEAM PICTURES THURSDAY AT PRACTICE RAIN OR SHINE. (If it is raining we will take the picture inside the YMCA). Please wear your team suit and bring your team t-shirt as well.

With all the rain this week it has been hard to have consistent practice. Yesterday (Tuesday) was a great day of practice and it was hot and steamy outside! We worked on breathing drills, kick drills, and starts.

Everyone is showing signs of progress and I am very impressed with everyone's hard work! Hopefully the weather will hold off long enough to get another good practice in today!

    See you at the pool

    New Season

A new season is underway and we are having a great time at the pool.

Everyone has been working the rust off this week as we push the older swimmers with longer workouts and help stretch our new swimmers into long strong swimmers!

This week we have been focusing on Freestyle and helping everyone to remember to swim long and with emphasis on "streamline" position.

We will begin adding new strokes and different drills as the weeks progress. So far everyone has been giving good efforts in the water and we look forward to a great season.

    See you at the pool
